Signs of Hearing Loss
Common Symptoms:
• Can hear people speaking, but strain to understand their words
• Frequently ask people to repeat themselves
• Find it difficult to follow a conversation in a noisy restaurant
• Frequently complain that people “mumble”
• Find men’s voices easier to understand than women and children’s
• Have ringing in one or both ears
• Unable to hear the doorbell or the telephone
• Play the TV or radio louder than a spouse, friends or relatives
